is there a "how to"-rip win 7 dvd disc?

I have windows 7 on a disc (genuine) but I want to convert it to an iso to put on a usb stick

is it it possible or are there issues? I tried using dvd decrypter and it gave me "udf file system parsing failed"

so maybe it has a rip protection on it.
