I regularly need to switch between "power saver" and "high performance" on my vaio laptop. I do this via going into "power options" and selecting the appropriate option when i require it. What I want to do is add a shortcut to the desktop or windows toolbar, but i cannot find a method to do this. Any ideas?

Thank you

If you have the Control Panel items folding out as a Menu from your Start menu (rightclick on Menu>Properties>Customize) then you can simply drag the Power Options choice onto the desktop as a link.

If not, in Control Panel change View Options to Large Icons then drag Power Options onto desktop.

Thanks ickymay,

Your link for a solution worked brilliantly.

I dough my cap to you.
