Is there any "LEGITIMATE" way of increasing download speed for free?

Well, I don't know if I should ask this but anyway. I want to know if there is any "LEGITIMATE" way of increasing my network's speed a little bit for free without wrecking my network connection.

Download speed is determined primarily by the connection between your computer and your ISP. Pay for a faster connection.

I don't want to sound too miserable aritra2116 but LMiller7 is correct, your download speed is totally determined by the package and speed your ISP gives you.

Try to keep your chin up, my laptop doesn't even have internet now due to some issues with it.

I would agree with the above posts, but with one caveat. You may have a 50 megabit connection from your ISP but you try to download a program from filehippo and only download at 15 megabit. This is obviously not your rated ISP speed. This is where a download manager/accelerator can "boost" your download speed up to your ISP rated speed. Download manages/accelerators use "mirrors" to download parts of the same file from multiple hosts essentially "speeding" up your download.

I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to when talking about "speeding" up your network, but hopefully it provides some insight.

Thanks guys. I would never bring up a topic like this again. I would try to save money for a better network connection .

It's nothing I couldn't sort out, but really I don't need internet on the miserable excuse of a laptop so I don't bother sorting it. I only use the darn thing for 1 piece of specialist software to do calculations on stuff to do with my work so it's no biggie.
I wanted to use the software on my main rig but it turns out it only works on 32Bit so I had to use the laptop.
