Is there any Map software that various Internet users can modify?

I'm looking for some sort of "map" where various Internet users can go and put a pin on an address and include their name as having lived there at some point.
This would need to be something where more than one person can say they lived at a particular house.

I'm trying to bring an old, small town closer together on Facebook.
Problem is, it's such an old town with people moving on average of every two years, that we all forget who the other person was or where they lived.

You can easily do it with Google Maps.

1. Log in to Google, open Maps
2. Click My Places
   
   ​
3. Click Create Map
   
   ​
4. Search your town
5. Add marker for each address you want to, edit labels as you wish
   
   ​
6. When done click Share
   
   ​
7. Click Change
   
   ​
8. Select Anyone with the link, change Access type to Can edit, click Save
   
   ​
9. You return now to dialog seen in step 7 above. Copy the link or share it on social media or email
10. Click Save

Done. Now anyone with the map link can see it and add their details:

There is Wikimapia. They allow people to add places with names.
