Hello

Is there any tweak that could enhance my system speed. I'm running a a lot of processing and chart applications and one in a while, my PC and video start to slow down

I got a quad CPU Q6600 @2.4 Mhz
6 G mem DDR2
Asus P5B board
SSD drive
Asus 4870 1 G DDR5
DisplayLink USB display adapter (2)

Is it possible to allocate more memory to the Graphic cards or to the USB display adapter

Any modification as to make sure that my system maintain a high stability.
I'm not looking to overclock unless I could do it and maintain PC stable

Have a good evening

Martin

I used to have a P5B motherboard, but can't recall all the options in the BIOS. That's where I'd look for more control.

Have you minimized running processes and applications as best you can?

The Quad 6600 was a great processor in its day, but is getting a bit long in the tooth---4 or 5 years old.

The Q6600 is a good candidate for overclocking. Many guides on the web.
