I sent my laptop to get something fixed and when I got it back I found a hell of a lot of personal folders accessed by the sickos who 'fixed' it.

I'm disgusted beyond words, just... please, I NEED to know if they copied anything out of my laptop or bluetoothed anything out of it - there were a LOT of personal pictures and videos they snooped into - is there some kind of action history saved anywhere on windows 7 that would allow me to see if they took anything and what they took if they did?

Hello!
Press start and type computer then press enter.
this will open up computer management.

now under System tools node expand event viewer node.
now expand Windows logs node.
finaly click on Applicatin node.

now in top left corner click on Action and select filter current log
now in this dialog in drop down menu of loged label select last 7 days
fill in additional info and click OK.
now when you click on any log you'll get details bellow computer management window.

Do so for every node like Applications and services node, filter them and read detais as long as you want.

It's hard to find what what you want there cos a lot of info but I think this is the only option to check events in past 7 days.

Hope this help :D

Thanks but everything in that log pretty much goes over my head! D:

Might be something though... Any idea what keywords I should be looking for to indicate something being copied or sent to an external device?

Oh and while we're at it, is there any way to see what videos were played on windows media in the past week or so?
