My video card is about the only thing not up to spec now in my system. I'm not really a gamer but might start playing every once in a while. I also do some photo/video editing. I came across a few different cards on craigslist. One is a Radeon HD 4850 and the other is a HD 4870, both with 512mb memory. The 4850 is $65 and the 4870 is $85. Would the 4850 be enough since I don't game much, or should I go for the 4870?

Go for the 4830 you're psu may struggle with the 4870.

I've been thinking about upgrading the psu. I found a 530w unit that will fit my case. Would it be worth it to do that and go with the 4870, or would the 4850 provide good enough performance?

A 5550 is about $60.00 0n the egg right now + a $15.00 rebate you may or not see...only needs a 400 watt power supply...This depends more on what games you DO play...
