is this normal firewall detections?

When using comando and just browsing the internet I get up to 200+ out going connections. I use there DNS and stuff... so maybe thats why but is that alot? 0 incoming.. which I know is the big one... but I also get 225 intrusions blocked... again none are active like getting through but im very insecure lol about whats going on when im browsing I just feel like there shouldn't be so dam manny conecntions...

Out going is safe though right? I know some virus's will use your computer or use it like a router but how possible is this? I don't know much about virus.

How do you scan for bios virus? or keyloggers specifically?

outgoing is coming OUT of your computer, while incoming is what is going IN. Are you sure that it has anything to do with malware? It specifically blocks 225 intrusions and claims they are intrusions? No way! Does this behavior happen in normally safe websites such as google.com and others? I do not know how well comodo (comodo, right?) performs. Is it a firewall or antivirus (from title I guess firewall)? I would prefer a good antivirus in use with the regular windows firewall myself. Antivirus is needed in case something gets past the firewall (whichever you use).

Outgoing is safe. Unless your computer is infected and subsequently sending out malware on its own, but your updated antivirus program would detect that. Don't be so worried. BIOS virus? Don't you worry about that, most computers make it near impossible to do, and your BIOS has settings to prevent that. Bios scanning isn't necessary.

Keyloging is a bit over the top, but someone might suggest something good. If you have a good antivirus, you shouldn't have to worry about keyloggers.

I often use malwarebytes coupled with Microsoft Security Essentials. I feel perfectly safe and don't worry about a thing. Unless you are working for some top secret agency or are not in complete control of your only admin account on your computer, I wouldn't worry about direct hack attacks or anything so spectacular. All you probably need for your specific situation is simplicity. Antivirus/antimalware.

Many others take a different view and may offer you alternate options to help you out. Hope you find what you are looking for

The intrusions are most likely tracking cookies or best known as "data miners" sites use to follow your browsing habits. The security options in the browser you use can be raised up to prevent any or simply delete all temp files upon closing the browser up.

That will also mean re-entering all email and password information each time you go to log into any regular site you frequent like SF? As far as Google... Bing is a safer place! Less bots and other garbage to worry about!

Different malwares apart from data miners tend to have other purposes like keyloggers, trashing the OS making it unusable, I-Worms replicating themselves using your email contacts to forward copies of the virus, and even fake wares to watch out for as far as getting you to believe you have a bug to con you into paying for a program that doesn't exist!

A good firewall will help while it's never 100% infalliable. Some of these things get on simply by user interaction where you get duped into something which then places things you don't want on. An effective web filtering like the free Web Of Trust addon will tag questionable sites for you. If you register that will even offer parental controls for safe browsing.
