About 8 months ago, I was watching YouTube on my laptop and got a BSOD. I remember that a few days ago, i dropped the pc a few feet from my table. It was fine for the time until the BSOD of course. A few days to a week later, the laptop got a SMART error and on bootup, Windows alerted me to use Windows Backup. But when using it, it won't finish and i think it created a log and I saw that Windows thought my personal files were corrupted.
The question is, why would Windows tell me to backup even if it would refuse to backup the IMPORTANT FILES???
I don't think it is a virus because i copied my personal files on a external hdd and later did a virus scan on it on another laptop. It was fine. I'm 90% sure it was not a virus since the technician said it was a hdd failure.
