Yeah. Great song. There's some software that'll ID a song but I can't remember what it's called.
Anyway now all the excitement of W7 has died down I might go back to messing with Linux again. I find it hard work but it looks amazing. J

At first I thought it was compiz fusion but, DUH, the video title says Beryl. Compiz fusion has some (but it doesn't look like all) of the features and animations that Beryl does.

The program would be Compiz-fusion for linux which you can get here.

There does appear to be a windows port but Im not sure how good it is.

You can get it from here. Unfortunately whats free in linux isnt free in windows so you have to pay for it.

Beryl and Compiz Fusion used to be two different things, beryl was a fork of Compiz. However, both communities have joined back up and Compiz is the package and compiz-fusion adds some additional functionality.

I've been using this stuff on my Linux boxes at work for quite some time. Windows users are always impressed when they see me running on an older box with an Nvidia FX5200 graphics card and I can run circles after the Aero interface in terms of cool eye-candy stuff.

That video only scratched the surface of what is available. I've got 16 virtual desktops on my Ubuntu box at home and instead of a cube that I can spin around, I have a round cylinder with all of desktops. It looks pretty cool.

I'm not aware of any specific add-on to Windows to provide this level of eye-candy.

From what I have seen so far, it does not even come close to that app in the OP's post, but it will do for now. But the windows one, is not that expensive, and not a large file either. It is only 25. bucks.

I had something like that 3d desktop app on my mac a while back, makes me wanna get it again it was great for coding, or doing things on multiple desktops, and being able to switch back and forth either by key command, or through a tweak i had enabled, using motion /light sensors on the mbp to flip it.
