Since here's a general discussion.I thought I wanna ask.If this is not right,
do tell me and I won't ask in the future.

Well,I don't know.I'm working on a blog.And recently,I found out that
few guys out there managed to dragged my photo and dragged into new tab.
I thought by disable everything means everything.
These guys were unable to right click and save my image but they managed dragged it.How silly me
HUH!

What bothers me is,these guys are perverts.I made a report about them through a site I met them previously (online game site).The real think I want to ask is,is anyone of
you here know what's html code for turning off the drag and drop image into new tab?I went to few sites and none of them helpful.Since you people at here are all smart.I thought maybe you guys are good to help me?Or not?Huh

Is the thing I asked I mean the html code is allowed at here?Thank you.
Thank you people

There's no coding, that I know of, that will prevent someone from capturing an image that's displayed on THEIR screen. There's many screen capturing and snipping programs that allow grabbing any part or all of anything displayed. Windows 7 itself comes with a display snipping tool.

The best course of action when dealing with the World Wide Web is not to place anything out there that you don't want to become a permanent record of your life or written word. :zip:

Hi,

As carwiz said, there is no code to disable that. You could try covering the picture with an transparent div, so that they can't drag the image but even that is not foolproof with tools like Firebug. And of course there are screen capture tools.

The best method to deter the casual copier would be to put the image as a div background and cover it up with a transparent overlay gif of the same dimensions as the image.
Code:
<div id="image1" style="background-image: url(originalImage.jpg);">
    <img src="blank.gif" height="250px" width="300px">
</div>

So, when the image is right-clicked or dragged, it will be the blank.gif that can be reached.

Maybe you should try Copy NO, click the link and see how it works. When the user hovers over the image, it is replaced with a COPY NO! image that disallows them to copy/drag it.

The most you will do is inconvenience them for a few minutes - if something is posted on the internet it is pretty much impossible to stop from being stolen.

z3r010 - you are right.I removed all of my photos except for my 'fancy not so fancy' art.I decided to stop playing at that site for the time being so that things will be cool like before.I like your avatar by the way.

The thing is though if they can see it they can still copy it by pressing prtscn on the keyboard then pasting it in paint :zip: But yea removing them like you did is probably the best option to keep them from doing that.
