Is this safe to install?

I was wondering if this file is safe to install my friend gave it to me. I scanned it with kaspersky and it said it was fine. So i did a virus scan on virus total it was 4/43. And he gave me a .bat which got a 7/43 so is this a virus?

I wouldn't trust them under the circumstances.

I wouldn't trust anything like that especially if you aren't true/real friends, not associates.

This could well be a false positive, and generic trojan names are given to suspicious program behaviour.

That said, the last thing you want is a batch file worm that will copy itself to shared areas on local and remote computers. I am sure the application isn't worth the risk.

Delete it and forget about it.
