Outlook 2010 issue. Using an older laptop with Outlook Express, the laptop monitor went bad- all black screen. I was able to borrow a second monitor and continue using the old laptop. Since it seemed too expensive to me to just replace the monitor, decided to get a new laptop with Windows7 and full MS office 2010, I have a home wireless network and both laptops seem to continue to access the internet just fine. However, Outlook 2010 does not pick up the all the email sent that shows up on the old laptop. Both laptops are using the same email account. Is there something else that needs to be done in Outlook 2010 to get all the mail? Or is the older laptop aceesiing mail from the email server sooner and does not send any email to the new laptop since the email server from the ISP has assumed email was already sent?
I would have thought hitting Send/Receive on the new laptop would cause the mail server to resend email but this did not work.

Please advise.

Welcome to the windows 7 forums.

What your problem most likely is that the outlook express and/or outlook 2010 is set to not leave messages on your mail server when mail is retrieved.

I am not sure but I believe that the default for outlook express is to not leave mail on the server when retrieved. The same on outlook 2010, you need to go to your email account on 2010 and internet email settings more settings and the last tab to make sure that the mail is not removed from the server when retrieved.

PS: Added later, When two mail programs retrieve the mail, Early bird gets the worm and removes the email from your mail server so that next email program that checks finds nothing.
