I do have a question. What do you use to play commercial (encrypted) Blu-ray discs in Windows? I tried to do the VLC solution but it crashes as soon as I try playing an encrypted disk. I refuse to pay a dime to cyberlink since I just bought this bluray player and their OEM version will not support windows 8. Which is complete cramp because this like other programs are forcing you to buy a new software right off. And my friend recommend UFUSoft Blu-ray Player, i don't heard of it, is that well for playing blu-ray? anyone have any suggestions on this?

Hi there

IMO the best way to do this is to use AnyDVD from Slysoft -- not free but works. Also removes encryption and region code as well. I use this to copy all DVD's inc Blu Ray to .ISO's on my HDD and then simply play with VLC player. The ISO's mount on Windows 8/8.1 as Virtual DVD's even on a laptop that doesn't have a DVD drive and also is a great backup for DVD's too.

On Win 7 use Alcohol51% or other software to mount "Virtual DVD's".

Cheers
