If I try to move or delete a file in a folder I get the message that the item is no longer located in the directory I'm in. I'm asked to verify it's location and try again. I click on the 'try again' button and the action is completed successfully. I have recently reinstalled the OS and fully updated all hot fixes, security fixes, etc.
I had this problem way back and found a fix for it and it worked but I can't remember how to fix this. If anyone can help me I'd be very grateful. It's very annoying. I've look through the forum but can only find cmd work arounds to delete the file/s. If I only want to move a file or delete a file 'not in a folder' I don't get the message. So I can only assume it is entirely to do with folders themselves. Thank you immensely for any help.
