iTunes makes Win 7 crash
I recently upped from Vista to Win-7 and have had several issues with iTunes. I updated to 9.1 w/o resolution. It makes Win crash when I try to sync anything or sometimes just because... This is the error I get....Any help is appreciated.!!:sarc:

Upload it to a free file hosting service and post the link here.

Or, split it up into manageable chunks and upload each chunk separately.
I'm (personally) primarily interested in the memory dump files (those ending in .dmp)

Sorry, but FileDen won't let me create an account.
Please break up the file into manageable chunks and upload it that way.

Ok. I used Arduos File splitter to break the .zip and I will upload all the separate files as well as the download of Arduos. Hope this helps. Otherwise, I may be able to use any other method or service you suggest. I think it will be like 10 posts, though...

Got the minidumps - but am having trouble with my batch files
Will work on it some more tomorrow. FWIW - there's at least a couple of memory dumps that show problems with your network devices. Please update those drivers first.

The last dump file blames tcpip.sys - but it also points to kmxfilter.sys - a component of your CA Internet Security product.
Please do the following:
Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
- uninstall the CA Internet Security from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of CA Internet Security using this free tool: Knowledge Document - Unicenter ServicePlus Knowledge Tools
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
Also, please remove or update these older drivers that were loaded at the time of the crash. Don't use Windows Update or the Update drivers function of Device Manager.
Please use the following instructions to locate the most currently available drivers to replace the one's that you uninstall OR remove:
How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html

Here's the older drivers. Please pay particular attention to any dated 2007 or earlier:

It worked--it works!!!! I can't believe it!!!! OMG it worked!!! You are the BEST!! :D

I am now syncing all the i-whatevers and it is working nicely...

I chose Avast--should I leave it as is or go back and re-install CAs ISS??

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I prefer the free antivirus myself - I use Avast and Avira on my systems - and have recently started using the Microsoft Security Essentials on other family member's systems.

I stay away from Internet Security/Security Center applications because of what happened here - it didn't definitely blame the CA program, and we could have spent weeks trying to nail it down.

But, there's more protection in an Internet Security application - but it's more complicated, so it's more likely to get corrupted and mess things up (and more likely not to leave any trace of it's malfunction).

So, in short, it's your call. Good luck!!!
