iTunes Opens for Both Users

This is a correction to an earlier thread I posted, where I thought iTunes was opening on its own at startup under my wife's user name. Instead, I have discovered that if she has been on the computer and I switch user names to mine, and open iTunes, that it automatically tries to open under her name as well. As long as I keep iTunes open, she gets an error message saying only one user can have it open at a time. As soon as I close iTunes on my side, and she switches user names to go back to hers, iTunes is opened there.

How do I prevent this from happening? (Other than doing Logoff rather than Switch User?)

I am running Windows 7 Professional.

Did you enable it to run at startup? That's probably the most likely cause, as I can't think of anything else that would cause this.
I don't have iTunes installed on my laptop, but there is a way to stop it running at startup if it is enabled.
A.
1. In start menu search, type in "msconfig", and press 'Ctrl' + 'Shift' + 'Enter'.
2. In the startup tab, uncheck 'iTunes' or similar if it is there.
3. Press OK.
4. If prompted, reboot.

If that is not the case, I will alert other experienced members here :)

Thanks, but that was the first thing I thought of. I went under both user names and unchecked it at startup. Again, it is not opening at startup. It opens (or tries to) under both user names when I try to open it under my name (or she does on hers).

Stevy, I have read numerous other posts on various topics, and all say to not have your normal account be designated as administrator. From what I have read, that leads to many more problems than this one issue that it may solve. So, I am not going down that path. As I said, I did find that it does not happen if only one of us is logged on, so unless someone else has an answer, I will go that route.
