Sorry, not sure why it's not working for you then. Short of uninstalling/reinstalling it. :huh:

I can get it to work when I install a new version, or reinstall. But I've had the problem you talk about before. Can't remember how I got out of it. I don't understand why Apple hasn't even fixed the stupid problem. Been the same way with itunes versions since the beginning of Windows 7. Even this new 10 version a few weeks ago didn't fix it. Only software I've encountered the behavior from before.

None of these solutions worked for me. What I ended up doing was, putting a fresh shortcut on the desktop, and then right clicking > pin to taskbar. That worked fine and now it works as it used to.

whoever suggested to unpin the unused itunes and pin the used itunes to the desktop is a savior, take this mans advice it works!
