Solved I've just muddled a Shortcut and inverted the image.
I thought I was using ctrl alt delete but miss struck the keys. Can someone please tell me how to switch it back please.

The problem is with a laptop. Since my error on the keyboard the whole of the image on screen has revolved through 180 degrees and is is consequently upside down and likewise the mouse pointer behaves in the same fashion.

Probably hit some 'secret' display settings shortcut. Try fixing it here:
Control Panel > Display > Adjust Resolution > Orientation

It sounds like you may have changed you screen orientation.
If so, then you could use OPTION ONE in the tutorial below in Windows 7 as well to change it back to
landscape .
