The 'offline' installation (JRE) 6u24 installed on my computer with absolutely no problems
BTW ... why would you want Java updater running at startup and in the background? Just scan with Secunia PSI
PSI - Consumer - Products for software vulnerability. This app should also be manually started when you need it.
I don't have Secunia PSI right now. Is it still advisable to disable Java Updater?
