Solved JAVA, IE8 and Windows 7

Hi ...
some times when i am into a Portal when i give cllic in some options i get an error :
java.lang.ClassCastException: com.miportal.portaluno.middleware.services.model.vo.AgenteVO incompatible with com.miportal.portaldauno.middleware.dto.InstitutionDTO

what is the best recommendation for my pc:
windows 7 (64 o 32 bits), IE8 (32 o 64 bits) java (1.6 1.8 ?)


I guess i have this issue because i have Windows 7 64 bits and IE8 32 bits ...

please let me know your thoughts to install the best version among Java, IE8 and Windows 7

Unless you post computer specs we cant help you decide which windows version is the right one for you, but since you on XP it may be an old computer, leave it on XP and upgrade Java to latest version.

no, that doesn't affect it. I highly recommend upgrading to IE9: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/products/ie/home.

It might even fix this error for you. While I am not familiar with the code exactly, I would recommend uninstalling java (if you want to, upgrading to IE9), and then reinstalling java 32 bit once more from here: http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=64152

:warn: However! If you decide to upgrade to IE9, you will need this java version instead (get it after you upgrade, not before): Download Java for Windows

Some people don't even use java anymore, me included. If you don't play internet games, you might consider leaving it uninstalled. You could always reinstall it come the event that you realize you do need it.
