I'm an avid F1 fan and seeing the latest news from the world of motorsport, this is of course about Jules Bianchi.

Bianchi is a driver for the Marussia team, He's a Frenchman who has battled to get into F1 since 2012 and finally got the opportunity to with Marussia in 2013, he was almost going to be driving for Force India but Adrian Sutil nabbed the place from him, He's been a promising young driver in his very short F1 career to date, hopefully he will recover from the accident at Suzuka, the incident involved the Removal of Sutil's Sauber on a previous crash which Sutil sustained no injuries, while the Sauber was being recovered, Jules Bianchi left the track and careened into the back of the removal JCB that was retrieving Adrian Sutil's car, The link below is the picture of Adrian Sutil standing next to the Marussia after the accident, a picture tells a thousand words.

The crash was posted on liveleak and the link is below, I discourage fellow members from watching this footage as it is a very intense impact, the footage is from a spectator.

In light of this crash, it reminds us all that everyone is human and these guys racing for our entertainment deserve our respect and admiration.

My heart goes out to Jules Bianchi's family and hope he makes a full recovery.

My wife and I are also F1 fans and in the feed we watched from NBCSN the announcers were saying that, at the time of the accident the race was under yellow as the safety car was on the track because of the weather conditions.

But, in the video from LiveLeak it clearly shows the track official in tower 12 waving the green flag before; while the track crew was cleaning up the previous accident, and then after Bianchi's accident.

There was mention of an early start time: Japanese GP planned to go ahead as scheduled as typhoon Phanfone closes in | James Allen on F1, but that thought was voted down.

Latest I saw on Bianchi doesn't look good. The diagnoses/prognoses is: Diffuse axonal injury | Radiology Reference Article | Radiopaedia.org

just got confirmation that Alexander Rossi will be taking Jules Bianchi's place for the Russian GP this weekend

As we were watching practice for the US Grand Prix my wife asked me if I had heard anything about Jules Bianchi.

Jules Bianchi remains "critical but stable" in hospital, nearly four weeks after he suffered severe head injuries in a crash at the Japanese Grand Prix.

The Marussia driver, 25, suffered a diffuse axonal injury when he crashed into a recovery vehicle at Suzuka on 5 October in wet conditions.

The Frenchman had surgery at the Mie General Medical Center in Yokkaichi where he is still receiving care.

His family said in a statement that the Frenchman "continues to fight".

They added: "Although we have no new information to give, we recognise that there are a huge number of people all around the world who are supporting Jules and willing him on in his fight.

"We owe it to his many fans to acknowledge the continued outpouring of messages, and to provide some information, however brief it may be."
