Hi there everyone im planning to upgrade my GPU in a day or two. I wanted to upgrade my CPU to a Quad Core (LGA 775) but the problem is i cannot find it anywhere right now in my country also nobody is selling it for now so now i have a very limited budget and im thinking to upgrade the GPU. I wanna play the Following titles below (some old, new and upcoming) on my LCD's native which is 1440x900. I managed to play a lot of great titles on Max settings last until i start to get slappy frame rates from the following titles below but not in all of course
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Bulletstorm Crysis Crysis 2 Dead Rising 2 DiRT 3 Duke Nukem: Forever F1 2010 Fable III Fallout: New Vegas HomeFront Hydrophobia Prophecy Medal of Honor 2010 Metro 2033 Singularity Splinter Cell: Conviction The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Also in my country the biggest issue is the price of everything coz we have to pay a lot of taxes on everything like i.e. if GPU actual price in USA, UK is 120$ so we have to pay 180$ or even 190$ for it and still prices of different models are different sometimes just too much So i wanna know if i get Inno3D or EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti so will i be able to play new games well? My PC specs are below you can see by clicking it Please advise what should i do? Also i think the card might be bottle-neck due to my processor

Hi boogieboy.
Unless I am mistaken, with the acquisition of EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti you will have two problems: your dual core and power supply. The processor may not pair for video processing. The power supply may not hold the video card and other hardware at all, which would generate "good" headaches. But as I said, "Unless I am mistaken".
As tax rates you mentioned, feel . My mobo cost about $ 234 when I imported it from the United States. You know how much I paid for it: the equivalent of $ 520... So

It's what we call here the "Brazil cost"... Recently increased the tax of import of video cards from 3% to 50% ... Therefore I insist, smile because you're well off out there!

1. EVGA or Inno3D GeForce GTS 450
2. EVGA or Inno3D GeForce GTX 550 Ti
3. XFX HD 4850
4. XFX HD 5770
5. XFX HD 6770
I've been told to get a GTX 260 or something similar but right now i have no idea so i need suggestions also i need to look for the availablity of the Cards.

Well, among the options you have listed, the first is most advisable. But I still remain fearful that your power supply does not hold the power of your system.

I once ran my cousin's HD 4850 for some hours when he was having trouble with his MoBo and it was running everything fine so as for the PSU we should'nt be worry about it coz i know few people running heavy duty systems on same PSU. Also if the PSU Brand is unknown it does'nt mean it wont run anything

My fear was not based on the manufacturer of power supply at all. But its amount of rails - 2x12v according to the specifications of your system. At most, I'd always go for caution. But since you are sure it is enough, buy the option # 1.
