Just got 4TB SSHD, can only see 2TB. Don't think I have EUFI, options?

So my HDD just bit the dust and decided that until I buy a new PC from scratch I wanted to buy this Seagate 4TB drive. After installing windows on it I only see 2TB.

From what I've researched I need to make my drive GPT, which I can only do if my motherboard supports EUFI which I don't think it does.

I don't plan on upgrading anything else right now and would really like to have a 4tb drive and be done with it. Is there anyway?

If not perhaps a small cdrive for windows and the rest separate. Don't know how to do that. Any help is appreciated.

Get a small drive—a SSD would be ideal here—and format it as MBR for your OS and programs, then format the 4TB drive as GPT and use it for data.

Download Seagate's DiscWizard software.

Initialize the drive as MBR, not GPT. Put at least 2 2TB partitions on it and windows will see it no problem.

1 TB = 931 GB in windows.

So make at least 2 1862 GB partitions.

But with a 4 TB drive, I would put 4 Primary partitions on it. 931 GB each.

If you are Windows 7, GPT will not work for you except for data storage. The OS will not boot from a GPT disk. Follow the advice of LF (post # 2) and get a 120GB SSD for around $50. Example:
