Not bad. I have the 550 Ti and it's not too bad. I was surprised to find out it's better than the 650. Which brand is yours? I have the overclocked eVga version. The processor is a lot better than in your sig as well. Just curious, what's your motherboard?

I never understood the idea of spending 1/4 of the price of the cpu on a Junk motherboard that is the heart of the system, but that might just be me.

Also by looking at that hdd, it appears to be green, without looking it up. Go black and never go back. :)

I'm guessing with that setup you'll get 1/2 of what you could have by spending $200 more. That being said, you have quite a jump from that Dell Optiplex GX280!

I see nothing wrong with the motherboard and the hard drive is a blue.

Well, for $15 more than a blue you get a black... this is my point.

And yeah the motherboard is not Junk, I mis-spoke, but it's not a good companion to a $300 CPU was my point. Id use that in an HTPC build, but not as my main system. Everything you just bought relies on that 1 piece of equipment, don't skimp on the motherboard, ever.

I guess we could all pat the OP's back and say good job, but I was giving what was asked, feedback. If it were my system I would have gone a different route is all.

I'd certainly take the system or his/her hands! :D

Redistribution of money would have gone along way. Say an i5 instead of i7 would have allowed for more money on graphics, or motherboard, or even $15 for a 5 year warranty black hard drive. With the same real world performance, sure benchmarks are fun, but when i can play Guild wars 2 on a 2 year old system with a better frame rate what's a benchmark prove?

Aftermarket cooling/OC the chip to ~4.6ghz
SLI the 550 or replace completely.

One or two simple adjustments like that will see you on high for longer.

I already have a aftermarket cooler. I'll try to see what it is exactly. And the 550ti was for a steal and I can play all my games on Max at the moment. So it's fine for now. Might as well wait till they release a new gpu. And for the people saying the motherboard is crap. It is not "crap" it works fine and the i7 wasnt needed but I can upgrade all the other stuff but I can't upgrade the CPU to something much better if I need to can I? Might as well get the best I can. And on some games my CPU sits at 70 percent CPU usage o.o
