Just got a PS4, confused on how to get audio via PC speakers.
Currently I'm using a simple aux cable running from the Dualshock 4 (controller) to my speakers.
Whilst it does the job it renders the Wireless controller wired.
PS4 supports 2 audio capabilities Digital optical and HDMI . my monitor has no audio nor can audio jack.
Looking to know how to hook my ps4 up to my speakers. Never even thought about this dilemma before upgrading from my ps3 as I used analog audio.
I'm guessing some form of converter I just want it to run from my ps4 digital optical cable to said converter and then from there to audio jack.
I do need a converter, right? Or can I just use a simple cable?
My speakers are Logitech Z323. Built in PC has no digital optical port either so can't run the lead that way.

Hi
Tekken179
you should be able to connect using a toslink optical to 3.5mm jack connection, you can pick them up on amazon or ebay for about £2 (
Linky ), saves having to switch and fiddle to get things working as well because the speakers you have come with 2 inputs, hope this helps.
EDIT: On further inspection, it looks like your speakers might not be able to decrypt digital signals, can you confirm this?

I think you may have to buy a stereo that supports digital outputs, or you could pick up an amplifier that can downgrade the signal from digital to analog, I used a similar setup when I had mini-disk, I used the mini-disk player to convert my digital signal to analog.
