Hello,

We just installed Windows 7 Home OEM on a computer that's about 7 years old (a P4 processor). In order to hook up to the internet, we are trying to use a Linksys Wireless Network Adaptor (WUSB54G). It's connected via USB.

We have installed the driver for the adapter but still can't get on the internet. It doesn't even see our wireless router.

Did we miss a step somewhere? Is there some other driver that we need to download and install?

The motherboard is a MS-6747 v1.X M-ATX mainboard. The MS-6747 is based on Intel® 865PE & Intel ICH5/ICH5R chipsets if that helps.

Thanks for the help!

-Dave

In order for the wireless adapter to see the router, both needs to have similar settings except different IP addresses. Please verify your settings.

There are three versions for that USB adapter shown on the Driver downloads page: Linksys WUSB54G

Look on the adapter to see what version you have. Then download and install it. If unsure, try all three in sequence. Watch Device manager to see if the driver actually loads for the device.

If this fails make sure you are searching for the correct model number's driver, or trace the exact hardware make/model using Hardware Identification

maybe som problem with the usb-driver,try another one!
