Files can be stored on CD, DVD, Online storage, in interprise some companies still use magnetic tape storage for backup. Then there is always the Floppy disk along with an assortment of "memory sticks" Compact Flash, SD, MicroSD, XD. The list goes on but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.
