I woke up this morning to no internet access. After unplugging and plugging the modem back in, I had to wait a couple of minutes for the modem's lights to stop flashing. When they did the second light is lit blue. Never seen that before (usually green). I check 192.168.0.1 and I now have 4 channels listed in "downstream".
My download/upload speeds are really fast now. Upload only went as high as 2.79 before. :D

That's always good news! It's possible that Comcast just upgraded their equipment. They will never announce it in advance.

Be thankful for the speeds you have. My speeds here in the USVI are a fraction of that & I have the best provider on the island.

I do find it unusual that your upload speeds are less than 1/4 of your download speeds. My uploads are about 3/4 of my download speed. That won't matter too much, though - unless you upload frequently to an FTP site, etc.

Found this link for: DOCSIS-3.0-Available-in-Branford-East-Haven-CT

To take advantage of DOCSIS 3.0, you need a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. DOCSIS 2.0 modems will still work with our speed tiers (except for Ultra and Extreme 50), but you won’t experience the blistering fast speeds now available.

The Solid blue DS light you refer to means you are in a DOCSIS 3 system with multiple DS channels.
