Solved Just saw an ad on YouTube for "PCKeeper" and got nervous

While making screencaps relating to a different problem, I saw this ad on the right-hand side of the page while watching a YouTube video. I haven't seen it before and these "slow PC" ads always make me suspicious. Has anyone else gotten this ad before? Is it safe or should I run some scans?

Just seeing the ad is probably fine, clicking and downloading it is the issue.
Although I personally have never seen ads like that on youtube.

You might want to run a full scan with your security software. I suggest malwarebytes and avast. They can be found in my sig.

Thanks for the reply. I ran a quick scan with Malwarebytes when I first saw the problem. I'll run a full scan before going to bed and come back when it's done.

Update: The full scan didn't detect any problems, and I haven't seen the ad since I posted this topic. If anyone else has come across it, I'd appreciate it if you let me know whether it's legit or caused by adware.

It doesn't appear bad, but it isn't 'freeware'.

PCKeeper is a bundle of most important system utilities for performing different tasks on the PС, such as antivirus, data control and optimization tools, drive clean-up utilities and much more.

Thanks. I didn't click the ad, its presence just surprised me since I don't usually see slow PC ads on YouTube. I read last night that there was a legitimate program called PCKeeper, but I didn't come across anything about this ad in particular.

A bit of additional information - it was a Flash ad, so I couldn't hover over it to see the link, and when I did hover over it, there was an animation with the needle moving over from red to green.

Update: I haven't seen the ad since my last post, so I'll mark the thread solved.
