Just saw my name in the google searchbar - but I didnt type anything

Ok, well that was a WTF moment....

For the record, my real name is Jeff.

A while ago, I launched IE, and opened google (which I hardly ever use), and there in the search bar was

Thank You, Jeff

I quickly shut down, and loaded a recent image of my OS via Acronis. When I booted back into W7, I immediately did a MBytes scan, which found nothing. I do not have an A/V

Any idea what that was? Any other apps I should scan with, just to make sure that here is nothing here that should not be?

My advice is to stop using 7...Move to W10...
W7 is becoming less secure every day...Programs are rapidly not being supported any longer and a security hole can be exploited in anything now running in W7..

It could have been from a program you installed where you used your real name or your PC is called Jeff. Doubt it's malicious.

That might explain it. Google just might have been trying to say hi. I think the consensus is that you are making something out of nothing.
