Just turned it on, already I hate it...

Make sure you read my last paragraph in post #7 and my one sentence post in post #8. Reason being is that "updates" can and will kill your computer, believe me. And Win 10 updates have a serious lack of QC (Quality Control). Just save yourself the headache now before you start saving data on that thing and installing programs, etc.

The PassMark CPU score difference between the CPU you should have had and the one you got now is 298 points. So yeah, not really much of a difference unless it was like 1,000.

I'm waiting for the Media Creation Tool for Version 2010 Build 19042 to be released by Microsoft so I can create install media and do a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit in one of my Dell minitowers.

I've never had to create a Microsoft account and implement it as part of the install process, and hopefully that hasn't changed.

I believe on my website I gave some simple instructions on how to strip stuff from a Windows 10 disk like Games, Cortona and all the rest. It was in large part a YouTube instructional and now I'm thinking that vid may have been deleted. I have to see now. But this is how I'm going to roll once I use 10 some time in a galaxy far, far away and beyond all of space time. LOL Though, I don't think I need to in LTSC, but I may go in and strip some privacy crap out that keeps calling home. I've recorded a ton of traffic going in and out of the NIC in Windows 10 more so then 7 or even XP. It's like the OS was designed like smartphones or tablets which are really nothing more than a marketer's wet dream come true in the form of telemetry and analytics right down to GPS location to some thirteen or sixteen feet. I can't remember the exact number now, but pretty damn accurate for civil GPS usage. I went into my Google account and saw all the places I was at going back years. Then I heard the few times I said "Okay Google" I hardly ever use it because I know they store my voice on their servers which was the case. In lieu of using Chrome in my phone I use the DuckDuckGo browser for what ever that's worth. Though, my phone is not my primary means by which to surf the Internet.

Anyway, the acronym for PC is a fallacy anymore. It's now Personal Cow. You're Redmond's little cash cow, you are the product. It was free not because they are very nice and giving people, but for the reasons of being a cow. LOL PCs should now come in Gateway PC boxes that look like cow patterns. HAHAHAHA That'd really be funny though.
