Yesterday, after boot up, "security update for Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package: June 14, 2011", showed up on the update check. I searched and this update is not on my system. Neither is the predecessor, KB2767174, but KB2767173 is. 7173 was installed on my system on 08/26/2012. The description was last reviewed on 05/23/2013. My question is: Did it really take three years for WU to find this update, or is my ignorance hiding something? I haven't installed this update yet.
