Thanks techtitan100.

I ran SURT and the SFC scan, but still get the same error.

Almost certainly, the missing payload files are caused by mistakenly running a 'cleanup' tool such as ASC or WiseFixer - so I would tend to assume that the others are present for the same reason.
If you have knowingly used such a tool, then please UNDO anything it claims to have done, prior to uninstalling completely, and running the Windows Update Posting Instructions again - then post all the requested data

NoelDP, I do run a cleanup program called Wise Care 365 almost everyday, but I don't know how to undo what it has done. Can these Payload Files be recreated somehow?

The payload files are the easy bit - it's the registry problems which concern me.
Please check the manual/help files for WiseCare and see if they offer any help - it may (although I doubt it) have created restorable backups.
How often is this utility updated? - even if it ever was working as it should do, unless it's regularly updated, is is worse than useless. It's my belief that it's the cause of many of your problems, and should be uninstalled - and a refund demanded from the manufacturers. I'm also tempted to suggest that you make a claim for damages (although I'm sure that their Ts&Cs exclude such a claim, it makes the point that the program is not fit-for-purpose).

Wise Care is a free "mild" cleanup utility similar to CCleaner. I didn't think it was the culprit, BUT I remembered trying a cleanup program called PrivaZer (friend recommended.. haha)! I ran PrivaZer two months ago, so I restored an image backup from before that date. Voila! That fixed the problem. All updates completed successfully.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, NoelDP.
No more PrivaZer for me.

...and please get rid of WiseCare as well - it may be 'mild' - but it's positively the cause of a number of problems with Windows Updates.

Please also run new SFC and CheckSUR scans and post the results - let's make sure that there's nothing hiding in the woodwork!

Ran SURT. Then ran SFC scan several times. Looks like there is still some corruption out there. Don't know how serious it all is, or how far back it goes. But KB2939275 definitely installed successfully.

There is indeed rather a lot hiding in the woodwork!

These errors are typical of using one of the Wise family of snake-oil products to 'optimise' the system.

I'll work on the file errors first, then we'll have to see what we can do about the registry errors.

please start with this...

I've uploaded a file - media64.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)

Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
At the prompt type
DIR C:\media64
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
DIR D:\media64
or
DIR E:\media64

The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...

XCOPY <drive>:\media64 <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h

(e.g. XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )

run the command (it should take almost no time) and when the prompt returns, type
EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run SFC /SCANNOW in an Elevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your reply
