Introduction
This update performs diagnostics on the Windows systems that participate in the Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program. The diagnostics evaluate the compatibility status of the Windows ecosystem, and help Microsoft to ensure application and device compatibility for all updates to Windows. There is no GWX or upgrade functionality contained in this update.

Thanks Brink. I actually received that update on 5th April & it installed without any problems.

According to the info on this link, this is a telemetry update, so I'm not going to be installing it.

I've tried to re-post the link but the website isn't allowing it. However, the information is out there about it being a telemetry update for those who would rather not install telemetry.

About telemetry, If I have some telemetry active (I saw some log files that say so), can I get rid of it doing some particular tweak to the system, or I have to look for the particular KB<number> and uninstall that?
I was careful trying not to install anything telemetry related but probably I missed something.

Not sure why you think it's a telemetry update, as this is posted at the top of the Microsoft website:

"Our old favorite snooping nemeses, KB 2952664 (for Win7) and KB 2976978." This quote was from computer world. There are other sources and references.

Not sure why you think it's a telemetry update, as this is posted at the top of the Microsoft website:

Telemetry and GWX (Get Windows 10) are different things.

In any case, anything MS says these days is suspect (especially regarding W7).

MS has sacked so many people that there seems to be no one left who actually knows anything about Windows and/or the remaining people are so overworked that they can't do the work properly.

KB2952664 is on my list dated June 11 2018
I'm boggled on why old updates are on my list all of a sudden.
The below photo is what I see for More Information on KB2952664 today.
