Has anyone else figured out a workaround to this issue or is uninstalling this the only option?

I have had 50 machines over the last day having this problem. Any easy way to uninstall every update? I'm not running WSUS just yet. So manually uninstalling is in my future :/

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
From what I've read the update in question seems to only effect ie11 and 9
I do have it installed without issue with ie10,
So I suppose your options are to uninstall it/ use another browser or update to ie10,
Cheers.

No upgrading here.. Have to have IE9 for our vendors.

FWIW, this is how I am removing this update remotely. It requires reboot (exit 3010), so you'll need that logic however you'd like to do it. You MIGHT need to change the package name (especially if you are running x86). Change the paths to suit your specific needs.

Find installed packages:
dism /online /get-packages >> C:\temp\SpecifyAFileName.log

psexec \\%1 -h cmd.exe /c dism /quiet /online /remove-package /packagename:Package_for_KB3008923~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~9.4.1.0

Ended up doing that exact coding you have listed.. But.. however had to manual disable the update from installing all over again. It checked for updates again after reboot and found the exact update I literally just uninstalled!

Ah, yes, definitely blacklist the update! I pulled it out of our SCCM SW update package, and disabled it in my 3rd party patch distro engine as well.
