Looks Microsoft finally plan to patch Windows 7 after the kb4534410 for stretched wallpaper bug.

I have the source here but in natural language, you'll have to display it in yours. They give no links about the patch nor it is displayed in the Microsoft Update Catalog for Windows 7.

Windows 7 To Get Post End of Life Update to Fix Wallpaper Bug

Just noticed there's no mention of it being fixed in the Security-only update though, so I'm assuming that update isn't affected by the bug? Haven't installed any personally, so I don't know if that's the case?

I don't believe there are affected and unaffected machines here, it just depends on the position type of your wallpaper, as only ones with "Stretch" option turn black, while others don't.

Personally, mine is set to "Fill" option by default, as part of Lenovo ThinkPad theme, hence not affected by it. However, I guess that once I will switch to "Stretch", it will be affected.

No matter as it does not seem likely that MS can distinguish nor will they risk it for resolving "affected" machines only.
