Ehm yes there are.. MS guaranteed to resolve the wallpaper bug and even if you check for updates now, you will see the preview of the next monthly quality roll-up as optional.

After this one, and hopefully in case they don't screw anything else up, indeed it will be the end.

Don't worry, a fix is on the way... it'll cause a permanent Blue Screen when you reboot though! :roflmao:

which update are you talking about, BoHelt?
KB4539601 or KB4539602 (or maybe both)


I have not encountered problems with either one

It is installing KB4539602. Not the monthly preview.

It was distributed to WSUS during the weekend and at monday pc grabbed it when booting up and reports start coming in from users that there was an issue with their computers.

Some with the trust relationship broken unable to login to the domain and other with the OS bootloader error.

I think we had like 15-18 out of 50 that was faulty.

We are now at around 2-3 stuck with the OS load error unable to find the OS partition.

I have disabled the update through WSUS to avoid additional issues.

Yeah... ive seen the prereq. and it looks like it could be a part of the issue. But ive checked these updates today in WSUS and is all green expect missing on 4 machines. So it doesn't fit on the number of machines that have this issue.


Unless WSUS once again is dodgy in the reports



And still does this effect trust relationship aswell ? I will dive into tomorrow since its getting late here.

Just a follow up on the issues now i dug a bit deeper.

WSUS reports KB4474419 as not applicable for the PC's that have this issue :S

So status ccurrently is PC is installing KB4539602 which have a pre-req of KB4474419 which is not installed since its not applicable for the PC according to WSUS...

All is done through WSUS.

I will investigate further when i'm done cleaning up

Anyone ever thought to crop/resize wallpapers to the resolution of the monitor and use fit instead of stretch and avoid all this nonsense

Funny thing is that we don't have this issue at all.



But it was approved automatically through wsus due to the rules that has been setup for computers group anyway.



I haven't found a WindowsUpdatelog file that is telling me why the prereq is not applicable due to the timeframe for the prereq update release most logs a younger than when the update was released. But ill keep searching so i can found a reason.
