There is an account called "Administrator". In Windows it will normally be hidden when you create an administrative account. It is very easy to create such an account. Simply open "User Accounts" in control panel and click "Manage another account". Then click on "Create a new account". You can then choose to create an administrative or standard account. If you create an administrative account it will have all of the privileges of the Administrator account.

+1 to this but also set up a user account or multiple accounts which once logged on protects many possible changes to the system.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned here yet is about ESD Electric Static Discharge. Since this is your first build I would recommend getting a grounding strap like this to ground you to the case so you don't discharge static into any components.

The other way to do this is to touch the metal part of case frequently to discharge any static that can build up, but if you aren't a frequent builder/tinkerer, then this might not be as common practice.

(I don't know your experience level or background so this is just a friendly FYI/reminder) You're build list looks good there...

I'm thinking of changing the ram sticks to these:

The previous ones were 1600, these are 1866.
Does that seem like a good idea?

Or jump to the 2133mhz series? they are still affordable as well and Haswell can utilize up to 2800-3000mhz when overclocked but those are big bucks.

I would go up from 1600, but can't say if 1866 is good enough or if 2133 would be more recommended. If your budget can handle it go up as high as your mobo supports. (within reason and other components?)

The one thing I would say about 1866 from having it is that it will have a default profile at 1600mhz that will need to be adjusted to take advantage of the 1866mhz. Not sure if this is all 1866mhz RAM or just the ones I had (Patriot Viper 3 2x4gb sticks) or if this would be the same deal on 2133.

I read some of the feedback on this site and some people have had to set the BIOS settings so it will run at the correct speed. Just make sure to check on them when you first get them set up so you aren't running at a lower speed than possible.

Check out 3000 Mhz. I would love to play with a set of those in a properly cooled Haswell set up but it will take winning the lotto......
