Hey I just wanted to know if anyone knew a solution to my problem...
I have windows ultimate 32bit according to my DxDiag...
Ok this is the problem
Everytime i leave my laptop on for a long time the internet keeps disconnecting... I do not know how long i need to be away... but even an hour seems to do the trick sometimes...

Its not the network because my other laptop on XP is working fine with the internet even though this laptop disconnects...
the only way i can get it to work again is by resetting the laptop...
I reset it 3 times today...

Can someone PLEASE help me?

How do you connect? Ethernet or wireless? If Ethernet, try another cable (they are cheap, and not very rugged). Try another port on your router, if you using a router.

In Device Manager > Network adaptors, right click on your adapter, select Properties > Power Management and untick in the top box. If that does not help, tick it back.

If it seems to happen after the same time of idleness, say 15 minutes, this might apply: Network Idle Session Time to Automatically Disconnect - Vista Forums
