I'm not sure when it started doing it, but my laptop's keyboard is lagging, not like you press it and you wait a while then it kicks in, it's more that the longer I hold a key in the longer it takes for it to release, this is VERY annoying and doesn't seem to be a game thing, it does it in word! I've been searching the web for a while and found nothing, any one had this before please help!

If its not hardware related. U can go have a look in (Windows)> (Control panel)> (Ease of Access Centre) in there one can find many a setting for keyboard, mouse. ect.

Imagine having some of those setting not right and it could cuase key lag or other issues. but so it can allso be used to tweak for improved user input.

your keyboard is failing and need to be replaced. Depending on the make and model they cost about 15-30 dollars. To replace it you have to basically take the system completely apart so it may be better to have a tech do it for you.

So it's a hardware problem :(

Maybe this will help - Test a laptop keyboard;

Instructions
1. Click "Start."
2. Type "Device manager" in the caption box.
3. Click "Device manager" from the ensuing list.
4 Right-click on the listing for your computer's keyboard. Select the "Scan for Hardware Changes" option from the menu. The Device Manager will now test your computer's keyboard. If an "error" icon appears next to the listing, there is a problem with your computer's keyboard. Right-click the listing for the device again and select "Properties" for more information about the specifics of the error.

So it's a hardware problem :(

Yes sure it is. If the keys aren't POPPING back up and or aren't registering when you press them then the keyboard is bad. None of that has anything to do with the Operating System. That is all Hardware
