keyboard lag/browser slow

After my system has been up for a while I start to see some things get slow or sluggish. When I type the response is slow, what I type shows on the screen a sec. or two after I type it. Web page graphics are slow to come up. The overall speed of the system does not seem to be effected, just browsing and typing. Could this be a sign of failing or bad memory? If not that what could it be?



Also not sure if this is related but sometimes cut and paste do not work in Open office Writer.

Make sure you're using latest video driver for your card and that device manager does not show it as "standard vga."

Turns out it's ONLY Firefox that is exhibiting this problem, anyone else having any trouble with Firefox?

I am having this problem across applications, the keyboard is slow and I cannot type fast. I have checked the video driver and is fine. Any other suggestions as to how to solve this problem?
