Using 7 on a Sony VAIO laptop. Often when typing I get a different character than intended, for example when typing / i will get the capital E with the acccent (found on the same key) or when typing @ will get stuck on a " (also found on the key).
I presume I must have accidentally hit a change key by mistake? But which one and how to get it back?
Thanks to anyone who may help.

My keyboard isn't laid out like that at all.

Try Control Panel - Region and Language - Make a note how it's set now before making changes so you can go back ;-)

Where did you buy your computer. Mine is a laptop. It was bought at the Sony store in Vancouver, BC.
The keyboard has several characters on manu of the keys. Regular in Black, upper case in Green, third characters in Red and some fourth characters in Red also.

I think you'll have to check your manual or Sony's website. Have you tried holding down various keys - such as Ctrl or Shift
while you hit the keys to see what that does?

Not much more I can suggest - hope someone else steps up.
