Keyboard malfunctioning

My keyboard was working totally fine but ever since my 9 year old brother use my laptop i think he accidentally pressed random keys, 90 % of the keys stopped working. I'm 100 % sure that no liquid was spilled on my laptop because every time i play games specifically call of duty 2, the keyboard works fine. I need help thank you.

No probs mate and it looks quite easy to do if you can find one. See this How to Replace Lenovo G470 G475 Keyboard - laptoppartstore

Now the only thing to remember is to be very gentle with the ribbon cables as they will not take a heap of heavy tanking and tugging. Most are held in place by two small lugs either side of where the cable is plugged in and they need to be gently pulled outwards and then the ribbon cable slides out. inserting is the reverse. See my pic and tips.

actaulyl ive already tried to connect an external keyboard, same thing is happening.. already did the system restore
no good results so far

Just to be on the safe side I would back up all important data. You may be headed towards a clean install of W7. Best to prepare yourself if the system needs a complete reset.

Something more than pressing wrong keys was done. I can't think of any key sequence that will disable keys. The fact that even an external one has the same issues is a good clue.
Could little bro have stepped on or dropped a heavy object on the laptop?

Good point mate I was thinking liquids but yep could even have stepped on it too or poked things in I suppose?.

hmm actually i just left my little bro for a few minutes when i got back, the laptop is still in good shape. never had this kind of problem before. system restore didn't work maybe ill try to have this laptop back to factory defaults.. any see what will happen, keep you guys updated
