Hi guys. I have recently done a clean reinstall of Win7 Pro. The PW I used to log on has a # in it, and I am able to log on without problems. But User Accounts will not accept the PW after I logged on and Windows is fully open. I guessing this is a keyboard mapping issue.
I'm in New Zealand where we have American keyboards, but just to make life difficult, I did the installation using a generic MS 500 keyboard, and switched to a Logitech G110 after installing Windows. (The Logitech has limited functionality until drivers are loaded)
I have tried swapping to the MS keyboard, and have looked for various configurations to see if I can use a different key in place of the # What I haven't tried is logging on in Safe Mode t see if that bypasses the problem.
So what I'd like to do is clear the PW so I don't need to use it when starting Windows, and can netwrork without running into PW problems.
TIA
