When on the internet I once in a while get a message that my computer is trying to connect to LAN #2 and a message saying I am working offline. Click tools and uncheck working offline option, back online. This computer is only a few days old and OS is new to me. Any ideas what may cause this?
I should have added the error code was 651. In looking further I see it is a Windows 7 problem.

Click on the network icon and then troubleshoot problems. Try the event viewer to locate the possible problem.

Based upon further reserch it seems that this problem can occur, when a second user tries to log on. Is someone stealing the use of your service. Are you using a secure connection?

I edited my post to add the error code 651. In answer to your question I have cable, no wireless and this is the only computer connected to the modum.
