I have a Gulftown 990X system
6G triple channel ram.
Windows 7 64bit Home premium retail upgrade version. SP1

I recently uninstalled MSE due to errors it was having with system.

The problem I am having is the system likes to reboot for reasons unknown. Sometimes when firefox or chrome are open, and others just at the main screen.

System is all new.

And OS is fresh install but was used on prior PC. No migration of old files to new system.

To continue: It seems when MSE installs I get the little flag message saying to turn off windows defender. When I open defender directly it says its off. If I use the flags link it opens my C: system32 folder. If I uninstall MSE defender turns on but the flag spams me with the turn defender on warning. Reinstall MSE and flag flashes turn defender on when its off.

Add Infinitum.

THX

The hardware testing I did run. CPU for 3-4 hrs and the MEM test 3hrs. No errors.
I will say that since the verifier and the script suggestion I ran it seems to be better. Except now its sometime just wont start up MSE.

Hijack this log

I also ran a Hijack this log. If that means anything.

THX again.

Also since I just built this.
Boot drive is an SSD I assigned all file swapping and downloads to D: drive.

I setup 5 accounts on Win7 but non are so configured that I cant reload windows. Should I do a clean install? Or do you think problem will occur again?

I can't say exactly what the script does, but I know that Driver Verifier shouldn't make your system more stable; it should actually expedite crashes in fact.

I'd say just wait 24 hours for a crash from Driver Verifier; if there is a software problem, that should flag it.

Well I ran MEMtest again. Ran again, and again. Then it failed. I went to one stick method and on the third stick it failed out of the gate. Moved stick to diff slot and it did not fail but I got random reboots while trying to load windows with the one stick. So I am just going to RMA the ram. Its less then a month old and I have been having these random problems.

So THX for your time. I will check back when the replacement comes in.

Good work racinj; it does sound s if RAM is the issue (though motherboard is a small possibility as well). Good luck with the RMA, let us know!
