Kingston KHX1600C9D3K6/24GX Won't run stable at 1600 MHz

Advertised to run 1.65v 9-9-9-27 at 1600 MHz. I've tried bumping up voltage and QPI to no avail. Will run at 1600 MHz for usually less than an hour before the computer shuts off. No BSOD, no errors, just shuts off. Any help is appreciated. Spec sheet here: http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KHX1600C9D3K6_24GX.pdf

Looking on the web there seems to be issues with running that motherboard 1600. I.e. you need to overclock your CPU to get there and of course than alone can cause other instabilities. You'll be a lot better off running at 1333 and a lower latency than trying to push it. There is /zero/ difference in speed on any actual program between running at 1333 and 1600 when 1600 requires higher wait states.

Course if you are overclocking the CPU to get there then programs will run faster, but not because of the memory overclock, that would be 100% the CPU overclock. So set at 1333 and then overclock your cpu some if you want (though probably not all the way to 1600).

It must be purely my imagination that it runs faster when I manually set it to 1600. Maybe I'm inadvertently overclocking the CPU. I'll have to double check.
