I got the email, and tbh I didn't realize it was a joke until I read one of the comments saying his cat had grown an extra tail. I chalked it up as more crap TigerDirect was promoting. They're spammy as all get out, I don't trust them unless there's something specific I've seen on Newegg and see it on TD for cheaper.

Not to mention their terrible customer support and unethical business practices.

Well so far as tiger direct goes I quit using them because of the shipping they left 4500 dollars worth of equipment on a patio in the rain that had specific sign for receipt instructions and I would have happily drove to the distribution center to pick up myself.
Needless to say the loss was total and dealing with ups and tigerdirect are both useless gestures.

The primary reason I suggest newegg so much is not because they are perfect, they aren't.
When there has been an error or mistake they have always made good for me.
At the end of the day that's really the best you can expect in the real world.

Amazon seems to really good at shipping and supplying details. Usually gets to my house 1-2days earlier then amazon estimated which is great for me. Anyways UPS usually brings my packets and will only leave them if i'm there which I prefer.

You have been fortunate, or you have a good delivery person on your route, because I have used every carrier and mode, which more often than not works fine, but there have been exceptions, where they simply drop the package outside my door, or worse deliver it to the wrong address. Generally, it doesn't make that much difference about which dealer that a person deals with, except in terms of how much time that they take to actually ship the item, but if I were ordering something of significant value, I would definitely insure it, because UPS only covers the first $100, and I would tend to doubt that any vendor that a person did business with online would stand good for damage caused by the carrier, like in Maguscreed's case. I bet that if his $4500 shipment had been fully insured, that the driver would not have left it on the patio, even if no rain was possible. If he did, he probably would remain a UPS employee long.
