Welcome to Seven Forums telalwall. When you try to use the webcam of mic, are you getting any error messages? If so, what do they say, exactly? A screenshot would be best if you are able. You can also check device manager and see if there are any yellow exclamation marks:
Click Start orb> Type Device Manager into search box> click on device manager in results above
If any exclamation points, a screenshot would again be best, but either way let us know.
Did the laptop come with any cd's for installing software for the webcam?
